Pastor Charles Blake is a native of Vermilion, Ohio. Having been reared in a Southern Baptist Church, he professed faith in Jesus Christ when he was eight years old. He attended Mississippi College where he met his wife, Amy. Charles and Amy have four children. In addition to the BA from Mississippi College, Charles has an MA in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary and an MDiv from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Two of his life-shaping books (outside the Bible) are RC Sproul's The Holiness of God and AW Pink's The Sovereignty of God. Charles enjoys reading books by and about Charles Haddon Spurgeon. Before coming to Columbus, Charles served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Meadville, Missouri. He was there for 7 ½ years.
